Advanced suspension
To any bus passenger, a smooth ride is a good ride. (Not to mention the driver!) That’s why the Toyota Coaster features independent front suspension with strong double wishbones and an upper torsion bar. This combination not only makes for happy passengers, it also enhances driver control. Add to that the long tapered leaf springs in the rear, and you’ve got a comfortable – and stable – bus ride for everyone.
Power & performance
In passenger transport, power means acceleration when pulling out from the curb. It means enough in reserve to overtake on the freeway. And it means being able to take on the city traffic lights and still get there on time. Coaster gives you that power. A 6 speed manual 4.1L OHV turbo diesel, producing 100KW of power and 382 Nm torque, Coaster delivers the power… so you can deliver your passengers on time, every time.
Fully compliant exhaust
Since January 2002, all Coasters registered in New South Wales must have a vertical exhaust. The Coaster features Toyota’s innovative vertical exhaust, which is situated at the rear of the vehicle slightly right of centre. Its clever placement and design meets all regulatory requirements and has no impact on passenger comfort or vision.
