3 All-New, More Powerful Engines to Choose From
Now with 3 all-new engines to choose from, the new HiAce is the most powerful yet. The new 2.7 litre DOHC VVT-i 4 cylinder is 26% more powerful than its 2.4 litre predecessor, and offers 21% more torque. The 2.5 litre common rail direct inject turbo diesel delivers 14% more power and a massive 35% more torque than the previous 3.0 litre diesel. And the same diesel engine with an intercooler on Super Long Wheelbase Vans and Commuter Buses gives you an impressive 21% more power than the previous 3.0 litre diesel.
A factory developed state-of-the-art sequential vapour injection LPG system is also available at extra cost. The dual fuel system provides exceptional performance and drivability right through the rev range.
LPG
If you do a lot of driving and you plan to squeeze every last mile from your bowser dollar, you’ll be comforted to know that all petrol engines on the new HiAce are LPG compatible, offering hardened valves and seats. What’s more, Toyota approved LPG systems are available for all petrol Vans and Commuter Buses.
4 Speed Auto Available Across the Range
No matter what your cargo, you can now choose the convenience of an automatic transmission. A newly developed 4 speed automatic transmission is now available across the entire HiAce range – including diesel Commuter Buses and Long Wheelbase Vans. The new transmission features electronic line pressure control based on engine speed, delivering smoother shifts and reducing ‘shift-shock’. It also boasts a driver-friendly gated shift lever on the dashboard, complete with shift lock mechanism and key interlock to prevent unintended shifts.
