Parts Manager
JOB SUMMARY: To be responsible for the daily operation and profitability of the Parts Department. To achieve excellence in increasing customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)
- To train and assist staff to achieve set standards, objectives and procedures.
- To handle customer complaints and ensure mistakes and problems are rectified and not repeated.
- To continually develop improved systems for the supply of parts to the Service Department
- Manage and control inventory to acceptable levels, not overstocking, but on the other hand making sure parts are always readily available.
- Maintain expenses at an acceptable level.
- Monitor sales expenses to achieve profit goals.
Parts Interpreter
JOB SUMMARY: To respond to any customer enquiries for spare parts by utilising all available resources to ensure that the customer's requirements are met with the highest level of customer service being employed at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)
- At all times maintain a keen awareness of providing quality customer service of the highest level.
- To be able to interpret customer enquiries speedily and with a very high degree of accuracy.
- To seek assistance with any difficult or ambiguous enquiries.
- When encountering a customer concern/complaint seek Supervisory assistance if required.
- Ensure specific tasks as set by Supervisor are performed on a regular basis.
- To successfully complete training schools set by Toyota Motor Corporation of Australia.
a) Basic Parts Skills.
b) Advanced Parts Salesmanship.
- Able to adequately liaise and communicate with customers.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to counter and phone customers.
- To ensure all invoice and credit transactions are recorded, signed and receipted.
- To ensure that all necessary cheques are processed through current credit checking facilities.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of Toyota and its products.
- Able to handle in house computer system ably and without supervision.
- Attend to the "back counter" functions when and as required.
Store Person /Parts Driver
JOB SUMMARY: As a delivery driver you are one of the Company's "face to face" staff when dealing with our customers. Accordingly, the impression you make stays in the customer's minds and becomes the yardstick by which the Company is judged. It is imperative that you make every effort to deliver not only spare parts but a very high level of quality customer service at all times. Some time will be spent providing support to the warehouse staff assisting in either picking duties or putting away stock.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)
- To always drive carefully, courteously and safely.
- To be able to communicate with both trade customers and the general public.
- To safely pack, secure, transport and unpack vehicles with minimum damage to parts.
- To obtain a knowledge of Toyota parts and its background by attending the Basic Parts Skills course.
- To identify customer needs, concerns and complaints and then report them to management.
- To ensure delivery manifests are raised, completed, signed and filed daily.
- To ensure any problems with assigned vehicle are brought to Supervisors/Management attention.
- To promptly collect any customer credit returns and/or account cheques when requested.
- To promptly raise credit request forms for nominated interpreter to process customer credits.
- To update assigned vehicle log sheet with odometer reading (daily) and fuel usage (as required).
- To advise management on customer movements eg. closures, moves, new businesses etc.
- To keep despatch facilities neat and tidy.
