Our Partners

Sydney City Toyota is a proud supporter of numerous organisations, charities, individuals and sports associations in our local community.

Sydney Souths Junior Foundation

We are proud to announce that Sydney City Toyota is continuing our official partnership with the South Sydney Junior Rugby League for our third consecutive year. This ongoing collaboration reaffirms our commitment to fostering growth, opportunity, and teamwork within our local community.

At the heart of this partnership is a shared dedication to youth development. This season, we are especially excited to support the Souths Juniors' adoption of the National Rugby League’s new player development framework. By transitioning children under 12 to a non-competitive, friendly match structure, the club is prioritizing the joy of the game, proper skill acquisition, and player safety. As CEO Luke Curry notes, this initiative is designed to help youngsters learn the game correctly, reduce injuries, and foster a more positive environment for everyone involved.

Souths Juniors remains a pillar of our community, with more than 3,200 members—ranging from under-5s to adults—playing in over 1,500 games this year. From the grassroots level on up, the club continues to be the starting point for developing the next generation of champions, with the season’s grand finale set for the hallowed turf of Redfern Oval. We are inspired by the dedication of the club’s leadership and their 700+ volunteers who make this inclusive family environment possible. Whether you are an aspiring athlete or a passionate supporter, there is still time to get involved—player registrations are open until June 30. Together, we are proud to empower these athletes to reach their full potential, both on and off the field.

Vinnies

In 2023, Sydney City Toyota embarked on an incredible journey by commencing a partnership with Vinnies.

The St Vincent de Paul Society in Australia has more than 45,000 members and volunteers, who work hard to assist people in need and combat social injustice across Australia. Internationally, the Society operates in 153 countries and has over 800,000 members.

In a world where solidarity and community support define us, we always seek to contribute to our community's welfare and strengthen it. Going beyond our usual operations, we took a significant leap by supporting Vinnies' appeal, putting up a brand new Toyota Corolla for auction and cooking meals for the less fortunate.

It is heartening to know that our collaborative efforts with Vinnies will continue to do so in the future. With this partnership, we hope to further the cause of community support, recognizing the tremendous efforts that Vinnies and its collaborative team offer on a daily basis.

We look forward to a long, prosperous collaboration with Vinnies, jointly taking strides towards a brighter, stronger community. Because at Sydney City Toyota, we firmly believe in community first.

National Tree Day

Sydney City Toyota's involvement in National Tree Day has been a proud, long-term partnership that spanned many years, concluding in 2025. Over the course of our support, we contributed to planting more than 1 million trees, shrubs, and grasses at over 2,900 Tree Day events across Australia.

National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day combine to make Australia's biggest community tree-planting and nature care event. Co-ordinated by Planet Ark and proudly sponsored by Toyota, these were special days for all Australians to help out by planting and caring for native trees and shrubs to improve the environment in which they live.

National Tree Day was co-founded by Olivia Newton-John and Planet Ark in 1996 and since then more than 2.8 million volunteers have planted over 17 million native trees and shrubs. It has been a day for communities to get hands-on experience to help the planet.

Each year, we welcomed schools in our community to participate in tree planting by supplying seedlings and promotional material to educate and stimulate interest in the environment. We were honoured to be part of this initiative through 2025, helping to foster a greener future for our local area.

The Girls & Boys Brigade

We are very proud and humble to support The Girls and Boys Brigade Foundation.

The Girls and Boys Brigade's mission is to support children and youth in need by providing educational and recreational opportunities that build life skills as a foundation for a brighter future.

Through their tailored and holistic approach, they empower families to build the foundations for success. They provide educational and recreational programs that help families build life skills, overcome challenges and access exciting new opportunities.

Mark Hughes Foundation

Sydney City Toyota organises very special mid-winter barbecue to raise much-needed funds and build awareness for the Mark Hughes Foundation for cancer research. Mark, a star footy player with Newcastle and a member of the State of Origin Blues, is a brain cancer survivor – and he’s on a mission to make a huge difference in future studies. The team at Sydney City joined this important initiative to honour the loving memory of our dear friend and colleague, Aykut Bayraktar, whom we lost to this terrible disease. Our fundraiser BBQ is not only to support the Mark Hughes Foundation but also to commemorate the life and fond memories of Aykut who will always be close to our hearts. We are proud to be beanieficiaries!

R U OK? Day

Since 2020, we hold internal seminars and talks to encourage meaningful conversations that could change a life. We are determined to incorporate this concept in our daily lives to check in our friends, colleagues and family and ask R U OK?  In a benchmark move we announced that we’ll be offeringfree counselling (up to three sessions) to any of our team members who feel they need support.

R U OK? is a national suicide prevention charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times. Their work focuses on building the motivation, confidence and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who is struggling with life. R U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks – friends, family and colleagues - to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.
